Zapp does more for your organization than any other system
We are very proud to say Zapp has several Breakthrough Features, and since we do not want to bore you by describing
all of them, so we have chosen to list here only those that were voted "My Favorite Feature" by our clients. They are:
* Fast "Entering Apps Received In Paper" Module: allows for the scanning and uploading of multiple copies of applications received on paper
* Counseling Communication & Documentation Center module
* Student Virtual Folder
Other key elements that make Zapp unique:
Zapp is the only system that allows for the setting up of eight different user accounts to accommodate needs at every
level of the organization:
1- Student
2- Sending Organization (branch)
3- Sending Organization (main)
4- Receiving Organization
5- Regional Directors
6- Local Coordinators
7- Host Families
8- Outside Users: This optional module allows Outside Users (prospective Host Families, for example)
to self-register from a link on your organization website and to gain access to available student applications online. Student's private and contact information is automaticaly hiden in such cases.
* Zapp is the only system that manages the complete application online, not just selected parts of the application.
What is the Fast "Entering Apps Received In Paper"?
It is an intelligent interface to "convert" a paper application into an online application.
The Fast "Entering Apps Received In Paper" is a single page from where one manages the data enter, checklist, upload scanned
files and submit the application. All from single page! This feature is available for SOs and for ROs.
What is the Counseling Communication & Documentation Center module?
This is a very simple tool that allows SOs, ROs, and Regional Directors to post counseling
messages about specific students.
Example: The student X is not doing well in school. Instead of communicating this information to the SO via fax or e-mail,
the RO posts a message in the system. The SO will then receive an alert via e-mail with a link that once clicked will
open an e-mail dialog box for response to the posted message. Once the response is posted by the SO, the system
will alert the RO.
Let’s say the student’s situation does not improve, and the student needs to be placed on probation.
Again, instead faxing or e-mailing, the probation letter can be scanned and uploaded into the message
box and posted on the Zapp system.
Described as a simple feature, it seems trivial, and it is! But when placed into context and integrated into an
intelligent management system such as Zapp, the advantages are several and significant:
First: All relevant communication information will not be stored in several different e-mail boxes on different
computers and difference hard copy files, but in one online location that can be accessed from anywhere at anytime!
Second: The messages are stored in chronological order, saving staff enormous amounts of time going to hard copy files or
digging through old e-mail messages. One can print the complete e-mail dialog/thread, including the scanned files (e.g., probation letters, school reports) if necessary. This is a huge aid in preparing specific student reports.
Third: The system allows communication about different subjects/topics to be bundled together.
These conversations or topic threads can be accessed easily through Zapp’s
breakthrough feature, the Student Virtual Folder
What is the Student Virtual Folder?
When you are holding the hard copy folder of a given student, you can browse through the file contents and quickly
identify the Host Family Application, Monthly Contact forms, Student Application, and so on.
What if those pages/forms are online??? Well, they are in Zapp. The Student Virtual Folder is "home page"
for each of the students in the system. From the Student Virtual Folder, you can seamlessly access every
single piece of information about the student: Student application, Host Family Application,
Monthly Contact Forms, and the Counseling Communication & Documentation.
