Solutions for Sending Organizations
Instead of submitting a paper application to the Receiving Organization (RO),
the Zapp system allows the Sending Organization (SO) to generate a username and password for each
of their students so the students can log into the system, complete, and
submit the Student Application online.
If an application is received from a student on paper, the SO can scan and upload the application into
the system so that every application (online and paper) is consolidated in Zapp.
The SO will then use Zapp to send all applications to one or more RO partners.

Solutions for Receiving Organizations
The online student applications are received online and sorted by SOs. Once an application is accepted
by the Receiving Organization, it can be assigned to a National, Regional, or Local Pool/Group in the
Zapp system for immediate access by field staff and/or potential Host Families.
Applications received on paper can be scanned and uploaded into Zapp
(if not already scanned and uploaded by the SO) and managed as a single system,
along with the applications completed directly online.
Zapp also allows the RO to generate online (data based) Host Family Applications, High School Acceptance Forms,
Placement Confirmation Forms, and Monthly Contact Forms. The system provides several built-in report templates,
from HTML "for office use" reports, to spreadsheets, to print labels for (snail)mailing, and XML files for
transferring data out of Zapp into other systems, including SEVIS.
